Role & Responsibilities Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll be at the core of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to drive automation, monitor cloud resources, and support continuous delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support scalable applications and services.
  • Build infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and automate operations.
  • Ensure cloud systems meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.
  • Optimize cloud spend and recommend cost-effective architecture patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategy with business needs.
  • Stay current with cloud trends and technologies; recommend improvements as needed.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about leveraging cloud tech to solve real-world problems.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Bonus Skills:

  • Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
  • Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
  • Knowledge of data platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
  • Previous experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
