A branch of artificial intelligence called machine learning (ML) is concerned with creating learning machines and creating computational theories of learning. In order to obtain a full knowledge of the nature of learning processes (both human learning and other types of learning), of the computational elements of learning behaviours, and to embed the learning potential in computer systems, machine learning and AI share a common aim. The development of artificial intelligence has been credited in large part to machine learning, which has applications in many fields of science, engineering, and society.
The 3 Goals of Machine Learning:
Simply expressed, the purpose of machine learning (ML) is to develop the ability for computers to learn and to comprehend the nature of learning (both human and other types of learning). Three components make up the aims of ML, to be more precise.
(1) To increase the intelligence and smarts of computers. Creating systems (programmes) for certain practical learning tasks in application areas is the aspect’s more direct goal.
(2) To create computer simulations and computational models of the human learning process. This area of research is also known as cognitive modelling.
(3) To investigate novel teaching techniques and create broad, application-free learning algorithms.
